The Burrow’s Basement Dwellers being number one shouldn’t be shocking. Last years champions and the leagues best offense, headed by the best coach in AKL history. The only concern this team has is their defense. Allowing the most points last year is never a great recipe for success, but with Brett’s brilliant offensive mind they are always in contention.

With three consecutive top four finishes we expect the first ever repeat champions in the AKL. Don’t be shocked if we look up in January, Brett holding the trophy looking down from his throne.

Austin O. is a HoeBo is the only other franchise to win a championship. With an extremely disapointing eight place finish last year, many might be shocked with such a high ranking. However with The Wunderkind, Micah Odle having the highest win percentage in the league gives us confidence to rank them this high.

The only concern is will his attention be elsewhere? Spending all offseason training his dog Crouton, instead of training his team. We here at AKLsports believe there is a method to his madness.

Last years second place finisher drops in our rankings. For one, Bob Odle last years head coach leaves in the offseason for a huge contract. The big concern is can Tracy Wilson recapture last years magic or will he turn into a pumpkin.

Tracy Wilson took a year off of coaching to focus on his “Commune”. We are legally obligated to not call it a Cult. With two seasons of mediocrity before Bob arrived there are questions. Tracy did have his hand in the draft last year leading this franchise to have confidence, but this might be his last shot.

A new franchise being this high might be an eyebrow raiser, but getting the new offensive mastermind Bob Odle as your head coach might be the X-Factor. We expect them to maybe start slow but with Bob at the helmwe expect a strong finish like last year.

Bob has been known to be a ruthless coach. Running a no nonsense team. With over 58 waiver claims more than doubling second place with 25. If you are not producing he will get rid of you. All we know is there will never be a dull moment.

Big Odle Energy is a tricky one to rank. Being in the championship game in 2023, we thought this franchise was on the up and up. But in 2024 and 2025 with no playoff wins has frustrated the fans. But with their vibes being as high as when you’re at your local Chili’s we expect a bounce back.

Is this the year they finally break through or will it be another year of drafting high?

MAXIMUS STEELHAMMER or should I say Jackson Memorial Hospital. The talent is there but have been struck by the injury bug for the past few season. A team with a lot of chemistry and good looking player, there expectations are as high as a Russell Wilson Moon Ball. Will there be a fully healthy season to see this franchise at their best.

Maddie/Morgan Odle/Todd the coaches for The STEELHAMMERS have taken the phrase “look good, play good” literally. Hands down the hottest team but can this coaching staff get them to heat up and win a championship.

My Balls Be Achane who made the championship game just two years losing to Austin O. is a HoeBo looked like primed for a long run at rings but have missed the playoffs two out of their three years. There is no denying Austin Hall AKA Big Tex is a very talented coach, but just hasen’t put the peices together yet.

Many experts have them higher in their rankings but until I see the proof. If he can put together a game plan as well as he plays Mississippi Stud at Winstar then they will have no problem winning it all this year.

In last place is the franchise with the lowest win percentage of any franchise in the league. Dr.Blakery’s coach Blake Wilson who is being paid in exclusively in Hershey’s Chocolate Syrup for some reason has been in the lab lately. Developing a new method of drafting, leting AI choose his team. With the worst record and stats in the league last year, they need some form of change.
